HV Breaker Specifications
Electrical power transmission networks, power transformers and HV busbars are protected and controlled by High Voltage Circuit Breakers inside electrical grid located in power terminals and substations.
The protection relay schemes for the protection of the breakers, while protecting other equipment and busses from various types of overload or ground faults can be complex.
Electrical protection of HV breakers is discussed in detail in the Reference Notes located on the navagation bar.
